Key Takeaways
  • Zero RNG Armor Farming: Implements drop fully formed with 100% fixed stats at final level - no experience feeding and zero random substat rolling.
  • 4 Distinct Equipment Layers: Operatives equip 9 total items across Motives (weapons), Implements (4-pc armor), Epiphanies (substat books), and Reactor Catalysts (combat stones).
  • Unbrickable Epiphany Substats: Feeding duplicate copies guarantees incremental substat upgrades without waste until every flower-icon slot reaches maximum power.
  • The 14-Power Catalyst Budget: Squads share a global team power budget (scaling 3 → 7 → 14 Power); allocate the two full 7-power loadouts strictly to your Main Carry and Primary Support.

How the 4 Gear Layers Work (No RNG Artifact Grind!)

Unlike conventional gacha action RPGs where players spend months farming randomized substats across multiple artifact pieces, Silver Palace eliminates random substat rolls from your 4-piece armor sets entirely.

Every operative equips 4 distinct equipment layers totaling 9 equipped items:

  • 1 Motive: Your main weapon (acquired via Monologue banners or purchased in specialty shops).
  • 4 Implements: Your 4-piece armor set (Head, Neck, Secondary Weapon, and Accessory) featuring 100% fixed stats.
  • 1 Epiphany: A single literature book slot that concentrates your upgradeable substats, unique passive effect, and Addendum perk.
  • 3 Reactor Catalysts: Resonance mineral stones slotted directly into your operative's personal Reactor, activating on Tactical Assaults.

Mandatory Level Gating Rule

For Implements and Epiphanies, your character's level must always match or exceed the level requirement of the gear piece before it can be equipped (e.g., an operative must be at least Lv. 60 to equip a Lv. 60 Implement or Epiphany title)!

Layer 1: Motives (Weapons & Identities)

Motives represent the weapons of Silver Palace. The game features 40 Motives in total, including 9 distinguished at 5-Star rarity.

Identity Restriction

Every Motive is classified under one of the 6 Identities:

  • Hero
  • Guardian
  • Saviour
  • Witness
  • Outlaw
  • Victim

An operative can only equip a Motive that matches their intrinsic Identity. For example, Cinderella is an Outlaw, allowing her to equip Outlaw Motives such as her signature 5-Star The Burning Stone Mystery.

Upgrading Motives

You level up (Amplify) Motives using Motive Bookmarks (topped by the Crystal Bookmark of Provenance). Advancing past level caps (Breakthrough) requires Ounce alongside the exact same Identity Ability Books (such as Hero's Path or Outlaw's Determination) required by operatives. Fusing duplicate copies refines their passive resonance from Refine 1 to Refine 5.

Layer 2: Implements (The 4-Piece Fixed-Stat Gear Sets)

Accessed on the Character Simulation screen, Implements comprise the four gear pieces every operative equips: Head, Neck, Secondary Weapon, and Accessory.

Note: "Secondary Weapon" is simply the designation for Slot 3 - it's an armor piece, not a Motive weapon!

Why Implements Feature Zero RNG

  • 56 Pieces Across 14 Sets: Every set includes exactly 4 pieces (one for each slot). Equipping all 4 activates an impactful 4-Piece Set Bonus.
  • No Leveling & No Random Substat Rolls: An Implement drops at its final level (Lv. 20, 40, 60, 70, or 80) right out of the box - you never feed enhancement EXP into it. Plus, every copy of a specific piece at identical level and rarity possesses the exact same base stats.
  • Rarity Scaling: Implement rarity tiers progress through Grey → Green → Blue → Purple → Orange/Yellow. Once you get the 4 pieces for your chosen set at top rarity, your gear farming for that operative is 100% complete!

Layer 3: Epiphanies (Books, Substat Dupes & Addendums)

Rather than distributing random substats across four armor pieces, Silver Palace concentrates all substat optimization onto a single equipment slot: your Epiphany. There are 30 Epiphany titles in total, each themed after world literature or iconic literary figures (such as Cinderella, Until Death Do Us Part, The Destined Death, White Beast of the Deep, and The Metamorphosis), dropping at Lv. 20, 40, 60, or 70.

How to Get Epiphanies

  • Map Boss Encounters: Challenging named bosses throughout Silvernia (such as Wolf King's Hunt on Morgue Street) offers designated chances for specific Epiphany titles.
  • Hilbert's Hotel & Epiphany Archive: Conquering Hilbert's Hotel floors and salvaging surplus Epiphanies awards Fate Clippings. Exchanging 1,000 Fate Clippings at the Argent Docks Epiphany Archive lets you buy any of the 30 titles directly.

How to Upgrade Epiphany Substats (No Wasted Rolls!)

Every Epiphany features a core main stat, 3 fixed substat lines (indicated by flower icons on the Upgrade interface), and an exclusive Epiphany Effect.

To advance substats, feed duplicate copies of that exact same Epiphany title into the base book. Each duplicate randomly upgrades one substat line, and you can continuously feed duplicates until all 3 flower substats are 100% maxed. You can never "brick" an Epiphany!

How the Addendum System Works (Sketch Ink & Custom Ink)

Every Epiphany includes a secondary upgrade track known as an Addendum, engraving an extra passive perk onto the book (such as Ashley Skill Level +1):

  • Random Addendum: Consume 1 Sketch Ink (600 Surplus Materials) to roll an unconstrained random perk.
  • Targeted Addendum: Combine 1 Custom Ink (3,000 Surplus Materials) + 1 Sketch Ink to lock the roll specifically to an operative of your choice.
  • Safe Rerolling: Whenever rewriting an Addendum, the system presents your current bonus side-by-side with the new roll, letting you confirm or decline the replacement safely.

Layer 4: Reactor Catalysts (17 Stones & The 14-Power Budget)

Reactor Catalysts comprise 17 mineral stones (including Vulkanash, Hexogen, Wolframite, Asphaltnium, Galena, and Alumalloy) installed directly inside an operative's personal Reactor rather than standard equipment slots.

Trigger Mechanic

Every Reactor Catalyst triggers off the exact same combat execution: when that operative initiates a Tactical Assault. Upon trigger, the Catalyst's enhancement persists for 12 or 16 seconds (or applies immediate impact force).

Attribute Compatibility

Catalysts fall under 8 Reactor Attributes: Ignis, Glacies, Fulmen, Gravitas, Radiatio, Ferrugo, Alba, and Omni. An operative can equip any Catalyst provided that at least one teammate on your active squad wields a matching Reactor attribute. Omni Catalysts can be equipped by any character on any squad composition.

The 3 Reactor Slots & 14-Power Team Cap

Each operative features 3 Catalyst sockets in their Reactor, with progressive Power costs:

  • Slot 1: Costs 1 Power
  • Slot 2: Costs 2 Power
  • Slot 3: Costs 4 Power
  • Total: 7 Power for a fully loaded 3-Catalyst Reactor.

Your 4-character squad shares a unified Team Power Budget that expands alongside your Crisis Level: 3 → 7 → 14 Power.

At the maximum cap of 14 Power, you can fully equip the Reactors of exactly two operatives (7 + 7 = 14). Always assign your two complete 7-Power Catalyst loadouts to your Main Carry and your Primary Support!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I equip high-level Implements or Epiphanies on a low-level character? +

No. Your character's level must always match or exceed the level requirement of the Implement or Epiphany piece (e.g., an operative must reach at least Lv. 60 before equipping a Lv. 60 Implement set or Epiphany title).

Is it possible to brick an Epiphany with bad substat rolls? +

No! Unlike traditional gacha artifact systems, duplicate Epiphanies incrementally advance the existing 3 substat lines until all three flower icons reach maximum value. No duplicate roll is ever lost or wasted.

Why can't I equip full 3-Catalyst Reactor setups across all 4 characters? +

A full 3-stone Reactor costs 7 Power (1 + 2 + 4), but the maximum team-wide Power Budget caps at 14 Power at highest Crisis Level. This intentionally restricts full loadouts to exactly 2 characters (your Main Carry and Primary Support).
